1st Canvas Art

I am no artist
I am no painter
To a feel at ease
Now here's a picture.

To tonight feel so not right. Missing some satisfaction but can't find the right thing to do do I decided to unwrap a square plain canvas and paint something.

I can't draw but the shape of heart is my favourite.

Could use a better contrast I guess.

Here's what I found out. I paint with my right hand! "=.=

2nd Go with Polymer Clay

This man will be "baked" under the sun tomorrow. :) As usual, baked on the windowsill while I go to work.

First Try : Polymer Clay

I've seen this many times at the toy section and art supply shop but have never given it a shot. The pessimism in me kills it everytime.

Anyhow, I got this kit from Art Friend over the weekends only at RM9.90. Pretty small amount of money to be spent on something you are unsure about.

It comes with 2 small packets of polymer clay, a piece of small paper with a diagram of how each pieces should be before you construct the object, a magnet and 2 eyes; I bought a kit to make a crab magnet.

I was as usual pessimist about myself doing this coz even as a kid I don't recall making many shapes out of clay or play-doh!

With no experience with polymer clay, I watched few clips on YouTube just to see how others do it. So nice to see kids enjoying this and sharing it with others in the cyber world.

After few clips (and dinner), I finally opened the kit and tadaa!
Looks crappy but quite crabby. :p

With the lack of experience an tools (I used my husband's letter opener to create the indent of the claw), I had a tiny bit of leftover in orange. Made it into a little heart. No magnet for it though.

I think it looks quite ok. :)

P/s: Polymer clay is way better than the clay we used to play with in preschool. It doesn't leave any sticky residue on the surface where we rolled it. Hand stays clean too! Why didn't we have this back in preschool??? :p
